About Us
Bigfoot Outdoor and Survival Equipment would like our customers to know about us. We are a family owned and operated business based in Farmington, NM. Bigfoot supplies a wide range of outdoor & survival products. The items that are sold are items that are tested by us personally on our own camping and outdoor adventures. As a team, we wanted to provide items that are durable and meet the needs of individuals looking to go on different types of outdoor trips. Having durable, lightweight and useful items are essential for a comfortable and fun trip.
Many of the items are good for a number of trips such as hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, and a variety of other outdoor activities.
Although, there are a number of people involved in Bigfoot Outdoor and Survival Equipment, it was started by a dream Adaire and Joseph Smith both had. That dream was to be able to provide personally tested items to ensure the quality and necessity of items. Here is a little about them individually.
Adaire Smith
Adaire has always had a desire to explore the world. Some of her favorite outdoor hobbies include hiking, camping, fresh water fishing, white water rafting, skydiving, and boating. Prior to starting Bigfoot Outdoor and Survival Equipment she lived in North Dakota and Texas. She was working in the oilfield as a safety representative for 8 years. In 2019 she began her own business in the oilfield. However, in 2020 and 2021 with the pandemic, she started the second business with Joseph Smith.
Joseph Smith
Joe has had a very adventurous lifestyle. Having lived in a number of states and exploring those states in his downtime. Over the last 20 years, he has worked in the elevator industry which was the reason for much of his travelling. He has spent much of his downtime with his dogs out camping and hiking. Joe always had a knack for trying to make the camping experience more efficient with minimal items. In addition, he has built camping trailers that focused on solar power, compact efficiency and learning the items necessary to survive outdoors. Some of his outdoor hobbies include camping, hiking, white water rafting, kayaking, shooting, and survival techniques.
